Last Summer the Moto North assembled a 4 man crew. Their mission? 3 days, 2 nights to visit Manitoulin Island and surrounding areas.
With bags packed, skates strapped down and a gleam in our eyes we set out on day one. Leaving from Horseshoe Valley we made our way west. Through small cities and smaller towns we headed to our first major stop - Tobermory. Making it just in time to catch the ferry to Manitoulin.
After arriving on the island we needed to find a place to camp - this is where the offroading started. Two hours later, semi-lost and with night falling we had no camp ground and no idea where we were. Time for an old fashioned "side of the road" camp out.
With no real plan in mind we got up, cut out of the woods and set out for some breakfast. This is where we learned about Bridal Veil Falls (which is why most people come to the island). This was a great place to swim, cool off and get energized for the rest of the day.
Not much left to do but get home. The wind picked up and the temperature dropped makeing this more of a mad dash than an enjoyable ride past Sudbury and down south to home.
